Les Bassans: the new hotel on the Pink Granite Coast that’s sure to make waves
The Côte de Granit Rose has welcomed an elegant and singular new refuge: Les Bassans. Housed in the former Sphinx manor house in Perros-Guirec, this 25-room boutique hotel by Fontenille Collection offers an inspired, iodized lifestyle rooted in the landscape.
A hotel between sky, sea… and Breton culture
Perched overlooking theSept-Îles Archipelago, Les Bassans takes its name from gannets, migratory birds that symbolize escape and a return to basics. Inside and out, everything invites you to slow down, observe and feel.
The rooms, all facing the sea, borrow from the vocabulary of Art Deco liners: wood panelling, patinated brass, long windows, sand and deep blue palettes. Every detail is designed to blend into the landscape, while offering refined contemporary comfort.
Seafood cuisine rooted in the living world
At Restaurant des Bassans, the experience is culinary, sensory and local. Facing the bay, in a room inspired by the 1930s, we celebrate the sea and living Brittany. On the menu: snacked abalone, wood-fired lobster, galettes roulées with andouille sausage, or chocolate mousse flavored with Nori seaweed. A daring cuisine, simple and precise, which evolves according to the tides and arrivals, favoring short circuits.
The tableware, by Jars Céramistes, contributes to this artisanal aesthetic. The Bar des Bassans, meanwhile, blends seaweed, citrus and Breton spirits in inspired cocktails.
A spa turned towards the open sea with Alaena
The site’s holistic spa, by Ecocert-certified French brand Alaena, offers a parenthesis of reconnection with nature. Jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, but also signature treatments based on marine elixirs, LED Nooānce masks, Kobido or Tui Na massages… The menu is cutting-edge and made-to-measure.
Day pass formulas (Breakfast & Relax, Sunset & Relax…) allow you to enjoy the site without staying there, for a well-being break between sky and sea.
Respectful architecture, lively decor
Renovated by Boris Le Noane, the building retains the soul of the seaside villas of the early 20th century: pink granite, recreated bow-windows, slate roof, all with scrupulous respect for heritage.
Inside, Fontenille Collection’s decor evokes the liner style, with Pierre Frey fabrics, KER Maison Iodée furniture and artisanal seating by Ainhoa Perez-Urdangarin. On the walls, black & white photos reaffirm the link with Brittany.
An immersion in local craftsmanship
Les Bassans is also an ode to Breton savoir-faire. Mosaics by Gwilen, ceramics by Valentine Benoist, bowls revisited by Maiwenn Nicolas (produced by Faïencerie de Pornic), uniforms by Le Mont Saint Michel… Everything has been designed in partnership with local creators, in a rooted creative approach.
A visual identity as poetic as it is graphic
Studio Deux-Cé designed a visual identity inspired by retro seaside signs: a slender logotype, maritime blues, symbols in ink, typography from old nautical charts… A coherent and sensitive aesthetic, both seaside and contemporary.
A gateway to the Trégor region
Located just a stone’s throw from Trestignel beach and the Sentier des Douaniers, Les Bassans is the ideal base for exploring the region: Ploumanac’h, Bréhat Island, the Sept-Îles Reserve, or the villages of Tréguier, Paimpol, Lannion, and the Jardins de Kerdalo.
A sustainable, uncompromising approach
With its Clef Verte and BREEAM Very Good certifications, the hotel boasts rare environmental standards: eco-labeled materials, intelligent energy management, controlled carbon impact… A hotel of tomorrow, already at work today.
