Campana by Bottega Veneta: a sculptural tote bag combining craftsmanship and modernity
Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta unveils Campana, a new nappa leather tote bag, a contemporary reinterpretation of an archival model.
Named Campana, this bag revisited by Bottega Veneta perfectly embodies the house’s style: discreet luxury, exacting craftsmanship and functional aesthetics. Derived from a 2004 model, this tote reappears in a modernized version faithful to the brand’s DNA. It joins the line of iconic pieces such as Andiamo and Arco, which have won over customers looking for long-lasting, unique pieces.
Available in two sizes, small or large, Campana is aimed at an urban, mobile target that refuses to compromise between style and utility. It is available in smooth leather for purists of minimalism, or in the Intrecciato version, the Italian brand’s emblematic weave, here made with wider 15 mm straps for a more fluid, supple texture.
The detail that makes all the difference
The Campana features an unlined design, revealing leather craftsmanship inside and out. A flat zipped pocket in smooth leather completes the ensemble, adding a touch of practicality without detracting from the purity of the lines. The magnetic closure, discreet and secure, also testifies to Bottega Veneta’s attention to detail.
The house, founded in 1966, continues to reinvent the codes of luxury, not through the logo, but through the gesture of craftsmanship. Campana is part of the Craft is our Language campaign, launched for the 50th anniversary of Intrecciato, with an international cast including Julianne Moore, Tyler Okonma and Vittoria Ceretti.
An echo all the way to Paris
Although Bottega Veneta remains an Italian house, its influence is well established in Paris, where its flagship on Avenue Montaigne attracts a loyal clientele. This new model could easily make its mark on the streets of the capital, where the tote bag has become an essential. Campana, with its quiet elegance, seduces without making a fuss.
