Moderne Art Fair 2025 moves to Place de la Concorde

Few know it yet, but this year’s edition of the Moderne Art Fair is changing its habits. After in-depth analysis of several official sources and field visits, it has been confirmed that the prestigious art fair will be held from October 23 to 26, 2025, in the ephemeral pavilions on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. This change of venue, unprecedented in the fair’s history, promises a revamped experience for collectors and art lovers alike.

A prestigious new decor

The Place de la Concorde, a highly symbolic Parisian landmark, will be the setting for Moderne Art Fair 2025. Moving away from the Champs-Élysées, the event will be housed in vast ephemeral pavilions, capable of accommodating its 60-plus French and international galleries. This choice illustrates the organizers’ determination to take the fair into a new dimension by giving it greater visibility and prestige.

The scenography has also been completely redesigned. Visitor traffic will benefit from a double central aisle, designed to streamline routes and create a more comfortable pace for the discovery of works. Industry professionals admit that this reorganization meets a strong expectation on the part of collectors.

An exceptional artistic committee

The fair’s identity rests largely on the personalities who shape its selection. The Artistic Committee comprises nine international figures, including Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr, David Nahmad and Diane Venet. Their expertise guarantees the museum-quality quality of the works on show, covering modern, contemporary and design art.

This recognition attracts renowned galleries, convinced by the selectivity and international dimension of the event. During our previous visits to past editions, the selection stood out for its rarities and major pieces rarely seen at fairs.

An eagerly awaited event for collectors

The fair has established itself as a highlight of the Paris art market. Collectors are eagerly awaiting this new edition, which represents a unique opportunity to acquire works selected with the utmost care. The organizers stress that the aim is also to foster communication and dialogue between galleries, artists and buyers.

Enthusiasts and the simply curious alike will enjoy an unprecedented panorama of contemporary art. Several thematic programs, focusing on subjects such as memory or the body, will make contemporary artistic and societal debates accessible.

“The fair aims to create a space conducive to discovery, reflection, and transmission, while encouraging lasting exchanges between artists, galleries, and collectors.” – Swing Féminin, Sept. 2025

The four-day opening promises a dense rhythm of highlights, including vernissages, conferences and meetings with artists. The schedule also includes a preview reserved for press and VIP guests on October 22.

A redesigned scenography

Beyond the new location, the essential novelty lies in the innovative scenography. The double central aisle layout radically alters the visitor experience. Unlike previous editions, the two-way flow avoids congestion and highlights the stands. In this way, the organizers intend to respond to the criticism sometimes levelled at the density of previous editions.

The professionals confirm that the sobriety of this layout is designed to preserve the essence of the fair: simplicity, efficiency and proximity to the works. This emphasis on comfort also reflects a desire to appeal to a wider audience, not just insiders.

“To preserve the fair’s characteristic simplicity and maintain a fluid circulation, the organizers have opted to double the central aisle.” – Swing Féminin, Sept. 2025

A highlight for Paris

Paris, already at the center of the international art agenda in October with the FIAC and Paris+ with Art Basel, consolidates its position as a must-attend event with the Moderne Art Fair. The Place de la Concorde becomes a crossroads for international galleries and top-level collectors. This strategic choice reinforces the fair’s global visibility.

French galleries also find a springboard to a wider market, while international names confirm their growing interest in Paris. This dynamic is part of a trend towards fairs moving to iconic locations, promoting contemporary art in the heart of the capital.

Pricing remains affordable by comparison with other comparable events. Admission is set at €25 full price and €15 for students, with free admission for under-16s and art school students. This pricing policy is designed to encourage new audiences.
