A friendly new restaurant has opened in Neuilly-sur-Seine: Les Tontons de Neuilly. A spot we love, where heartfelt cuisine meets the art of entertaining.

Born of the complicity between Alexandre Baizet, Gérard Castellani and chef Rachid Djillali, this address opened on July 5, 2025 and embodies the spirit of a table d’amis. Just a stone’s throw from Paris, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, perfect for extending the bistro tradition with a touch of modernity.

French cuisine revisited

Rachid Djillali is at the helm of the kitchen, with a menu inspired by the great French classics, designed for sharing. Signature dishes include7-hour lamb shoulder confit, ideal for two, or roast veal with olive mashed potatoes. On the seafood side, snacked fillet of sea bass and its sauce vierge illustrate the freshness sought by the chef. For starters, the eggs Maillot with truffle, the delicious green bean salad served with mimolette and the pâté en croûte by Yohan Lastre (MOF) are must-tries. The desserts are not to be outdone, with a different seasonal tart every day, a perfect crème caramel and a light Charlotte strawberry.

A well-thought-out wine list

The selection features organic and natural wines from French terroirs. From Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Hoffmann Jayer 2021 to Côtes de Provence Peyrassol 2023, the choices are varied and designed to accompany home bistronomy. Designed by architect Marie-Laure Navarro, the interior blends retro charm with contemporary comfort. Marble checkerboard flooring, custom banquettes and a large marble-effect counter create a space that’s elegant but not rigid. The address lends itself as much to intimate meals as to large gatherings. A small private lounge can even be privatized for special events.
