These tinted sun creams will lighten your beauty routine
Lightweight, protective and beautifully perfecting, tinted sun creams are the beauty must-have for sunny days.
They blur, warm the complexion and let the skin breathe, while protecting it from UV rays.
In Paris, summer often begins on a terrace, when the light hits the cheekbones. Suddenly, foundation seems too present. The skin demands something else: a fine texture, a veil of color, serious protection. Tinted sun creams respond to this very contemporary desire for a nude, but worked complexion. Their aim is not to conceal, but to gently highlight.
Sun care for the complexion
Garancia’s Tinted Beautifying Fluid SPF50+ anti-aging & anti-dark spot opens the ball with a very contemporary promise: protect, smooth, mattify and illuminate in a single gesture. Its universal shade blends with a maximum number of skin tones, without streaks or marks. The formula combines 4 organic UV filters, natural mineral clay, red algae extracts, pongamia oil and hyaluronic acid. It protects against UVA, UVB and blue light, while helping to fight brown spots. The finish is clean, soft and fragrance-free, with a pleasant second-skin effect under make-up.
In the same sun care logic, Umbra Tinte™ Mineral Cream SPF30/PA+++ from Drunk Elephant relies on 100% mineral protection and an antioxidant-enriched formula. Its 20% zinc oxide protects the skin, while astaxanthin, ubiquinone and a vitamin C derivative accompany the needs of a complexion exposed to sun, pollution and oxidative stress. Its transparent golden hue does not seek to cover, but subtly warms the skin.
In the same spirit, ISDIN’s Fusion Water Magic Repair Color SPF50 will appeal to those who want a very light texture. This tinted face cream moisturizes, evens out skin tone and visually corrects minor imperfections. Its tinted formula is particularly suitable for fair to medium skins. It is non-comedogenic, oil-free and designed for daily use. Its other trump card: an anti-aging action that targets visible signs of sun exposure, such as wrinkles and spots.

Sensitive skin also has the right to a perfect complexion
For reactive skin, La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Tinted Fluid SPF50+ remains a reassuring benchmark. Its formula protects against ultra-long UVA rays, with a fluid texture that stretches quickly. It leaves a light, tinted veil, with no masking effect. This is the product to apply before a busy day, between office, terrace and late afternoon sun.
In a more mineral approach, Laboratoires de Biarritz’s SPF50 tinted face sunscreen speaks to skins that like more enveloping, almost cocooning sun textures. It combines mineral filters, the patented antioxidant active ingredient Alga-Gorria® and organic aloe vera, known for its comfort on the skin. Its UVA, UVB and blue light protection also helps prevent pigmentation marks. The finish is more caring, more protective, ideal when skin needs a reassuring formula before a lunch out or a weekend by the water.
Bioderma’s more targeted Photoderm M SPF50+ is designed for skin prone to pigmentation spots. Its tinted gel-cream texture offers a more corrective finish, with protection designed to support women concerned by melasma, particularly during pregnancy. It helps limit the appearance of brown marks, and is ideal for skin looking for a clear complexion without the need for conventional foundation.

How do you apply it without losing protection?
Tinted sun cream is not exactly the same as foundation. You need to apply enough to protect the skin, then gently stretch it out. Fingers remain the best option: the warmth helps the material to fuse with the skin. The brush can follow, but only to smooth the contours of the nose or jawline.
Above all, reapply during the day. A transparent SPF stick, like Baïja‘s, a sun mist or a second thin layer may suffice, depending on exposure. Find inspiration in our article Baïja’s Moana Sun range, for a summer of Tiare flowers.
