This weekend in the 15th arrondissement, a free festival celebrates Brittany with crêpes, bagads and entertainment.
The Fête de la Bretagne returns to Paris this weekend with a double celebration in the 14th and 15th arrondissements. Pancakes, traditional music and semi-salted butter are the order of the day for this 2026 edition. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy these free festivities.
A two-part celebration in the capital
Since May 14th, the 14th arrondissement has been vibrating to the sound of bagads and binious. The district, which has probably the highest Breton population outside its parent region, welcomes the Mission Bretonne for several days of festivities. The festivities come to an end on Saturday, May 23.
But don’t worry, the Fête de la Bretagne doesn’t stop there. The 15th arrondissement takes over for the whole weekend. This continuity allows Parisians to extend the pleasure a few meters further.
As every year, this legendary land is doubly celebrated in the capital. On the one hand, the Mission Bretonne is bringing the 14th arrondissement to life. On the other, Paris Breton is organizing the festivities in the 15th arrondissement.
“Beyond galettes, andouille and Kouign-Amann, Brittany is an absolutely extraordinary region, with an endless wealth of culture, landscapes and, of course, cuisine.”
A fifteenth edition in style
This year marks the fifteenth edition of the Fête de la Bretagne organized by Paris Breton. It will be held at the 15th arrondissement town hall, located at 31, rue Péclet. A symbolic venue for this cultural event.
The event aims to bring together the thousand or so Bretons and their descendants living in the Paris region. However, the festival remains open to all who wish to immerse themselves in the culture made in Breizh. No Breton background is required to participate.
- Traditional Breton music concerts
- Lectures on the region’s culture and history
- Signing sessions with authors
- Bookshop dedicated to Brittany
- Breton dance demonstrations
A rich program, entirely free of charge
The 15th arrondissement is also home to several Breton institutions. These include the Maison de la Bretagne and the Service Social Breton. The Montparnasse train station, a departure point for the region, is also in the area.
The festivities will take place on Saturday May 23 and Sunday May 24, 2026. Opening hours are 10am to 9pm on Saturday, and 10am to 8pm on Sunday. All events are free of charge.
The weekend promises to be a busy one. From concerts to conferences and dance demonstrations, there’s something for everyone. Lovers of Breton culture will be delighted by the diversity of activities on offer.
Celebrating gastronomy
Brittany was recently voted the world’s favorite tourist region for its gastronomy. The title is not misplaced, as the local specialities are so appealing to the palate. The Fête de la Bretagne naturally puts this culinary wealth in the spotlight.
Dozens of gourmet partners will be present at the event. The 15th arrondissement is also packed with crêperies, making it easy to stock up. Visitors will be able to taste the best of Brittany on the spot.
Semi-salted butter, the emblematic ingredient of Breton cuisine, will of course be omnipresent. For purists, using sweet butter would be sacrilege. Galettes, crêpes and other specialities will delight gourmets all weekend long.
