Located in the 4th arrondissement, rue du Pont Louis-Philippe has long been the stronghold of quality paper mills. A few remain today, such as Calligranne and Mélodies Graphiques. Today, jewelry boutiques, perfumers and concept stores have set up shop and line this particularly pleasant street in the Marais. It was at 18 rue and more precisely at La Galerie Psyché that we spotted some real wonders! In this temple of jewelry creation, fashion and decoration, we have selected 3 exhibitors of really stylish jewelry to spruce up your spring outfits.

Helene Courtaigne

The creator Helene Courtaigne was for a long time artistic director of major cosmetic brands. But in the 1990s, she left this universe to explore jewelry making and took his first steps in jewelry thanks to a technique and know-how that were patiently taught to him. She then became a gemologist. Gradually his style is refined and asserts itself. Hélène gives metalwork an importance usually overlooked, fconfident of his jewels real works of art which bear the mark ofa powerful and identifiable style. Intuitive and passionate about stones, she chooses unusual harmonies et uses little mined gems (spessartites, tsavorites, iolites, morganites, rubelites, tanzanites, etc.). She shapes her creations herself in her workshop and abandons rulers and compasses to let her hand and her eye recreate strange symmetries.

Valerie Lachuer

Creator de unique and bespoke precious jewellery, Valerie Lachuer patiently imagines and shapes in his workshop in Lisbon jewelry in gold, silver and colored stones. She likes to play with light by working the material, by creating volumes and contrasts, granules and textures. In 2001, the jeweler left to live in Africa, in Chad. She will stay there for ten years. She discovered the world of metalwork with Chadian craftsmen: casting, forging, cutting, filigree… Gestures that she would later reproduce in her workshop. Back in Portugal, she follows vocational training as a jeweler, graduated in 2014 and started creating. You will appreciate in this esthete the beauty of contrasts, colors and materials, metal work and the enhancement of gems. She offers jewelry where every detail, every fine granule, every light texture takes on its full importance.

Patricio Parada

Patricio Parada is a Chilean artist who creates exceptional jewelry. Each piece are real sculptures. It is in Italy that this jewelery enthusiast works with noble materials such as gold, silver and bronze and with a very particular technique: that of lost wax. It involves the creation of a wax model which is then covered with a plaster or clay mould. The mold is then heated to melt the wax, creating a cavity inside the mold which is filled with molten metal. Some of these works are embellished with beautiful precious and semi-precious stones. The jewels exhibited in the shop are very original. They were chosen by Chantal Clavreuil, director of the Psyché gallery, who thus salutes the exceptional work of the creator Patricio Parada.
