This new secret hotel near Vendôme is already thrilling the Parisian elite.
What if the hustle and bustle of Paris could be replaced by a bubble of silence and refinement? That’s exactly what the Maison Barrière Vendôme offers, the new jewel in the crown of the Barrière group, inaugurated this year at 33 rue du Mont-Thabor, just a stone’s throw from Place Vendôme.
An intimate address with very Parisian chic
Behind a discreet Haussmann façade, just 26 rooms, all named after women who have left their mark on history: George Sand, Charlotte Delbo, Marguerite Yourcenar… The Presidential Suite, nestled under the roof, celebrates the author of La Petite Fadette, with a striking view of the Paris skyline and Robert Doisneau catalog s on the bookcase. It’s a home from home experience: breakfast is even served… until 6pm.
Frida Kahlo at the table, Buly in the bath
The 40-cover restaurant, named Frida, pays tribute to the Mexican artist and offers classic French cuisine: salmon back, artichoke vinaigrette, and desserts by Christophe Adam. A short but elegant offer, in line with the ambiance of the place, hushed and inspiring.
In the bathroom, the focus is on sensory pleasures: Buly soaps, old-fashioned bathtubs and natural light. Every detail invites you to discreetly let go, far from the hustle and bustle of palaces.
A chic bachelor pad for discerning Parisians
What the Maison Barrière Vendôme offers is not just accommodation, but a form of urban respite. An antidote to the frenzy evoked by Thomas Dutronc, where “you run everywhere”. Here, corridors are short, moments long. And you can even organize private events in a resolutely exclusive atmosphere.
