Le Hameau de Saparale, the secret address for Corsican lovers
An interlude in the Corsican hinterland, a thousand-year-old estate where luxury and nature intertwine. Since May, Le Hameau de Saparale has been unveiling its secrets in the Ortolo valley, between Sartène and Bonifacio. A project led by Julie and Philippe Farinelli, it marks the rebirth of a rare heritage, as confidential as it is exceptional.
An unspoilt oasis in the heart of the vineyards
Just 30 minutes from Figari, Le Hameau de Saparale extends over a thousand-hectare estate, including 52 hectares of vines. This small 19th-century village, completely pedestrianized, has been lovingly restored: maison de maître, sheepfolds, wine storehouse, former gendarmerie, all rehabilitated into places of hospitality with their soul intact.
Le Hameau offers 16 rooms and suites, plus 3 private sheepfolds with swimming pool, garden, hammam and jacuzzi. Each space reflects a discreet luxury: granite walls, antique woodwork, natural materials and panoramic views of Corsican nature.
A complete immersion in the art of island living
Sopravigna, the estate’s restaurant, orchestrated by chef Jérémy Viven, offers generous French cuisine inspired by Corsica’s terroir. Short-run produce, herbs from the kitchen garden, oils and wines from the estate are the hallmarks of a refined and sincere gastronomy.
The experience continues at L’Orangerie, a summer bar by the pool, where you can enjoy Mediterranean tapas in the shade of citrus trees. In the evening, the bar becomes a hushed cocoon facing the ancient frescoes for a cocktail or a glass of local rosé.
Wild well-being and authentic luxury
There’s no glitzy spa here, just a Spa Sauvage in the heart of nature, with yoga sessions overlooking the mountains and tailor-made treatments delivered in the shade of an arbour. Far from urban stress, Le Hameau invites you to reconnect deeply with yourself, to the rhythm of the maquis.
Hiking, mountain biking, golf, the secret beaches of Roccapina and La Tonnara: total escape is just around the corner.
A rare wine tourism destination
A veritable mecca for Corsican wine, the estate organizes private tastings, food and wine pairing courses, vineyard tours… Saparale’s five cuvées – including the rare Oenoteca – embody the spirit of the place: complex, rooted, free.
