The White Lotus season 4: Cap-Ferrat, Paris or Megève as the next filming location?

Rumors are rife, and all the clues are converging: the fourth season of The White Lotus, after Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand, is set to take place… in France. HBO has confirmed the renewal of the series, and several specialist media are reporting that production is considering prestigious locations in the country as backdrops for this new plot.

Three possible settings, three very different atmospheres

Among the Four Seasons hotels mentioned in the rumours, three clearly stand out:

Le Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferraton the Côte d’Azur. This iconic palace offers splendid Mediterranean views, Belle Époque buildings and an atmosphere of coastal luxury. Cap-Ferrat ticks all the boxes of glamour, chic and the gentle warmth of the French Riviera.

The Four Seasons George V in Paris. An urban, classy choice, steeped in history. Paris would offer a different tone, more focused on romance, culture and contrasts between indoors and outdoors. And Paris remains the most visited capital in the world, so dream on, dream on…

The Four Seasons Megèvein the Alps. A bolder hypothesis for The White Lotus, as it would involve mountain settings, potentially wintery. Mike White reportedly wanted to “get away from the waves crashing on the rocks”, which opens the door to snowy landscapes.

What kind of plot?

Even if the official plot remains secret, several elements give clues as to the direction taken. Creator Mike White seems keen to vary the settings, to get away from the classic seaside resorts. The choice of Megeve or Paris would allow for this diversification.

The formula should remain unchanged : a group of wealthy vacationers, a luxury hotel as the main character, secrets, tensions and perhaps a mysterious death. The Four Seasons hotels should once again play a central role, as in previous seasons.

And what about the calendar?

For the moment, filming for season 4 has not officially begun. We only know that location scouting has taken place or is underway in France. Broadcasting is not expected before late 2026 or 2027, due to the usual production and post-production delays. A little more patience, then, to rediscover the strange atmosphere of White Lotus…
