Alexis Tricoire unveils “No Limit” at the Cité des Sciences

An immersive, vertiginous plant installation takes up residence in Paris from October 14, 2025 to July 12, 2026.

A stunning garden to discover under the glass roof of La Villette

Visual artist Alexis Tricoire has created “No Limit”, a powerful and sensorial work of plant art at the Cité des Sciences. Installed in the “Jardin Spontané” space, this installation offers a totally inverted, suspended landscape, outside our usual points of reference. The ceiling becomes a floating meadow of dry or stabilized vegetation. Mirror-covered walls multiply the space, giving the illusion of an endless garden. On curved tables, also covered in mirrors, visitors circulate in an inverted universe. Each step projects them into a world where plants seem to rise into the air. This unique device serves as a reminder of the urgent need to preserve our finite natural resources.

A poetic and committed manifesto for the environment

“No Limit” carries a strong ecological message about the illusion of abundance in our changing world. Alexis Tricoire has been working for over 20 years to reconnect the public with life. He transforms public spaces into sensory and plant experiences. In collaboration with landscape architect Éric Lenoir, he has created a manifesto that is both artistic and militant. The experience is both contemplative and reflective, blending art, nature, ecology and design in a totally immersive scenography. The installation will continue its international journey from 2026, with a five-year tour around the world.

A benchmark for plant design in Paris

Trained at ENSAD in Paris and the Art Institute of Chicago, Alexis Tricoire has established himself as a pioneer of plant-based design in France. He has worked with Patrick Blanc, Galeries Lafayette, Hermès and the Château de Versailles. Through his work, he builds bridges between city and nature, art and ecology. “No Limit” is part of this artistic and humanist approach, which restores meaning to our relationship with living things.
