Under the stars, cinema takes over the Cour Jardin at the Plaza Athénée this summer
There are places in Paris that seem unreal, almost like a film set. Nestled in the heart of the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, the Cour Jardin belongs to this rare category. From the first rays of sunshine, it transforms into a suspended parenthesis, a green setting where the hustle and bustle of the capital fades away to make way for an atmosphere worthy of an open-air cinema.
Entirely clad in Virginia creeper and punctuated by iconic red geraniums, this inner courtyard evokes a life-size movie set. You’ll settle in as if in a scene from an Italian summer, between soft shade and golden light, ready to enjoy more than just a meal: an experience.
A kitchen that tells a story

At the helm, chef Jocelyn Herland has created a menu inspired by Brittany, between land and sea, in a spirit that is both sunny and profoundly authentic. Here, each plate acts as a sequence, revealing textures, contrasts and emotions.
Seasonal vegetables take center stage with elegance: glazed Breton artichoke, brocoletti or precisely crafted tomatoes, while more daring dishes punctuate the narrative: octopus and rhubarb with tangy accents, delicately prepared crab claw or generous lobster burger. The result is a masterful score, in which every mouthful is part of a coherent gustatory narrative.

The journey continues with desserts by Angelo Musa and Élisabeth Hot, a blend of regressive indulgence and technical elegance: strawberries with vanilla chantilly, salted butter caramel and crêpe cake flambéed with Calvados round off the moment like a perfectly orchestrated end sequence.
The Plaza Cinéma Club: when film becomes experience

But summer at the Cour Jardin doesn’t stop at the table. From June 29 to July 4, 2026, the venue is transformed into a veritable open-air screening room with the Plaza Cinéma Club. An iconic program – The Godfather, Skyfall, Gladiator, Les Tontons flingueurs, Scarface and Pretty Woman – sets the tone.
Here, cinema is experienced as much as it is watched. Each screening is accompanied by a menu designed to resonate with the world of the film, creating a subtle dialogue between image and plate. Dinner thus becomes a total immersion, where flavors follow the rhythm of the scenes and prolong the emotion of the big screen.
Headphones, meticulous service, hushed ambience: everything is designed to offer a complete, almost unreal sensory experience.
A timeless interlude

La Cour Jardin is the perfect embodiment of this idea of discreet, experiential luxury, where people come as much to socialize as to escape. With its gastronomy, cinematic setting and cutting-edge cultural program, it is one of the most unique experiences of the Parisian summer.
