Hôtel Paris Bastille Le Boutet-MGallery Collection celebrates 10 years in this historic setting

In the heart of the 11ᵉ arrondissement, a stone’s throw from Bastille and the Marais, Hôtel Paris Bastille Le Boutet MGallery Collection celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. An anniversary that highlights one of the capital’s most singular addresses: a place steeped in history, transformed into a contemporary showcase, but still faithful to its original identity. As the year draws to a close, the hotel lights up to the rhythm of Magic Tales, a festive theme imagined by MGallery, and reminds us just how elegantly Parisian heritage can be reinvented.

An iconic façade, witness to an industrial and artisanal past

It’s impossible to walk past the hotel without stopping: the monumental façade, located at 22-24 rue Faidherbe, catches the eye with its perfectly preserved art deco mosaics, typical stained glass windows and period inscriptions. Built in 1926, it once housed the workshop of Maison Boutet, supplier of exotic and European woods to Faubourg Saint-Antoine craftsmen, before becoming a famous chocolate factory known as La Suisse Normande.

Even today, this façade tells the story of the place: a strong industrial past, craftsmanship and unique architectural charm, enhanced by an exemplary renovation carried out by Vincent Bastie and decorator Astrid Dieterlen, accompanied by students from the École Boulle. They succeeded in preserving the raw materials – wood, metal and concrete – while harmonizing them with contemporary comfort. The monumental reinforced concrete staircase, the interior’s star piece, is a perfect illustration.

An intimate, contemporary and deeply Parisian hotel

Behind this exceptional facade, the hotel reveals 80 rooms and suites, some of which are extended by planted terraces offering a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Paris. The warm atmosphere is created by wood, natural materials and a design that reflects the metamorphosis of the site.

At the heart of the hotel, the CODAGE spa is a sanctuary of relaxation: heated indoor pool, sauna, hammam, fitness room and a signature wood/chocolate treatment in tribute to the building’s history.
The bar continues this gourmet memory with signature cocktails, including the iconic Old Cacao Fashion, and the famous “chocolate breaks” offered during the day.
Finally, the hotel confirms its local roots with a dedicated M Moment: a visit to local artisans followed by a wood workshop and a tasting of the hotel’s own chocolate cocktail.
