This €3,700 Dior bag will make Rihanna and other fashionistas fall in love this summer 2026
This summer 2026, luxury bags by Dior, Chanel, Hermès or Gucci take center stage. Between archive revivals and iconic new models, 16 creations stand out for their savoir-faire and timeless allure.
Les grands retours: when archives come back to life
Some houses have chosen to draw on their own history to offer luxury bags charged with meaning. At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello has revived the Mombasa, which became an icon in 2002. Recognizable by its horn-shaped handle and half-moon silhouette, this model returns in a leopard pony-effect leather version, priced at €3,900.
At Chloé, the Paddington is making a comeback. First imagined in 2004 by Phoebe Philo, then quickly adopted by Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, it is now available in grained leathers. Shades range from brown and khaki to burgundy and blue/gray. Chemena Kamali adds her touch with charms of all kinds.
At Fendi, the Peekaboo, created in 2009, is also reinvented each season. The current version, in mahogany leather, has two compartments, one of which is entirely embroidered with sequins. This handcrafted work took over 40 hours to make.
“A simple knot can make all the difference…”
Louis Vuitton and Chanel: two icons rewritten
Nicolas Ghesquière unveiled Louis Vuitton’s Express on the Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 catwalk. This model takes its name from the very first Speedy bag in the 1930s. Its supple silhouette and leather straps are inspired by the Keepall, and it retails for €3,500.
For his first show, Matthieu Blazy revisited Chanel’s 2.55. He gave it a vintage look, as if this classic had already stood the test of time. In this way, a cult accessory is given a new lease of life among the most coveted luxury bags.
- Celine’s Halfmoon(€2,800) joins the ranks of the Louise and Triomphe as a new cult model.
- Ferragamo’s Hug(€3,200) features a zebra pattern and an adjustable, removable shoulder strap.
- Burberry’s Tavistock(€1,740), inspired by the equestrian world, offers three compartments and the Burberry Check finish.
- Miu Miu’s Wander(€2,300) combines nappa leather quilting with a half-moon shape.
- Prada’s Wish(€950) is presented as a silk duchess clutch, defined as “simple and discreet”.
Newcomers already making their mark
Among the new luxury bag references, Gucci’s Giglio catches the eye. Unveiled on the catwalk of the Cruise 2026 fashion show, this tote pays homage to the fleur-de-lis, symbol of Florence. It is sublimated with GG canvas and a lining featuring the Diamante motif from the archives. Sienna Miller and Emily Ratajkowski have already adopted it, for a price of €1,800.
Jonathan Anderson conceived Dior’s Bow as an ode to the house’s heritage. The bow is one of Dior’s signatures: the 1957 haute couture dress Sans Souci was already adorned with it. This new It bag is available in soft, poetic pastel colors for €3,700.
Pierpaolo Piccioli introduced Balenciaga’s Bowling Bolero in his first show for the house. Designed in smooth calf leather with a nappa lambskin lining, it recaptures the codes of the bowling bag. Priced at €2,600.
Valentino, Hermès and Loewe: attention to detail above all else
Valentino Garavani’s Panthea, presented on the Fall-Winter 2025-2026 catwalk, seduces Rihanna, Bella Hadid and Anne Hathaway. Its handle jewelry in the shape of a feline’s head refers to a symbol initiated at the Autumn-Winter 1967-1968 haute couture show. Price: €2,950.
At Hermès, the Della Cavalleria(€5,900) is inspired by horseback riding. Its clasp is reminiscent of the Verdun demi-mors, its cut is curved, and its accordion gussets make it a model of precision craftsmanship. This type of finish distinguishes luxury bags from more affordable creations.
Loewe’s Amazona 31(€3,900) seduces with its clean lines and shiny leather with vintage accents. Now re-edited, this rectangular model promises to be a future best-seller.
How to choose among these sixteen models
Faced with such a rich offer, budget often remains the first criterion. Prada’s Wish clutch at €950 represents the entry point, while Fendi’s Peekaboo climbs to €7,500. In between, each house offers its own vision of the relationship between form, material and price.
Daily use also influences the choice. Burberry’s Tavistock, with its three compartments, meets a need for practicality. On the other hand, Dior’s Bow in pastel shades or the Wish silk clutch are more suited to dressier occasions.
These sixteen models of luxury bags cover all profiles: those looking for a patrimonial investment, those who want to follow the season’s trend, and those who wish to treat themselves to an object designed with care.
From smooth leather to the finest silk, from half-moon silhouettes to animal motifs, each creation tells a story. The archives of the great houses and the visions of the new artistic directors come together to define the allure of summer 2026.
