Petit Bao opens in Bercy Village, the new Chinese canteen in the 12th arrondissement

ParisSelect - Petit Bao ouvre à Bercy Village, la nouvelle cantine chinoise à découvrir dans le 12e

The Bao Family continues to expand in Paris. Since March 14, 2026, a new Petit Bao has been welcoming Chinese food lovers to Bercy Village, in the 12th arrondissement. The opening marks the group’s eighth address, and seventh in Paris.

A new Chinese canteen in Bercy Village

Bercy Village is an iconic lifestyle spot in eastern Paris. Here, you’ll find an array of little places to eat, shop or enjoy a unique cultural experience. Yet this iconic passageway lacked a good Chinese reference.

The mistake has now been rectified thanks to the Bao Family. This new Petit Bao has opened its doors a stone’s throw from UGC. It joins the Bastille, Ternes, Etienne Marcel and Faubourg Saint-Denis addresses.

Having launched 4 hugely successful concepts – Petit Bao, Gros Bao, Bleu Bao and Bao Express – the group continues to grow. Bao Express has also become Petit Bao.

The Petit Bao concept: a neighborhood canteen

The concept is well known to regulars. It’s a neighborhood canteen serving generous, convivial Chinese cuisine. Inspiration comes directly from Shanghai’s boui-bouis.

“We’re salivating just thinking about it!”

Whether you come alone for a gourmet lunch break or with friends before a movie, the atmosphere remains the same. Conviviality is at the heart of every Bao Family address.

Warm vintage decor

Just like its companions, this new address is characterized by a slightly vintage decor. Formica furniture and white floor tiles are featured. Together, they create an extremely convivial setting, typical of neighborhood canteens.

This retro style appeals to regulars and newcomers alike. It creates a warm atmosphere, ideal for sharing a meal with friends. What’s more, the location at 58, cour Saint-Emilion is easy to get to.

  • Address: 58, cour Saint-Emilion – 12th arrondissement
  • Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 12:00 to 22:30
  • Extended opening hours: Friday and Saturday, 12:00 to 23:00
  • Rating : 4.9 / 5
  • Service: on site or takeaway

Bercy Village already featured Italian, burger, Mexican, Japanese, Breton and Vietnamese cuisine. Now, thanks to Petit Bao, there’s also room for Chinese cuisine.

An atmosphere conducive to sharing

The space invites you to sit down and enjoy several dishes to share. Tables allow you to order as a group and sample everything. That’s how you get the most out of the menu.

Its proximity to the UGC makes it a perfect spot before or after a movie. In short, this new Petit Bao fits perfectly into the Bercy Village offer.

The Bao Family’s iconic menu

Aficionados can rest assured: you’ll find all the great house favourites. Dishes are available to eat in or take away. The menu remains faithful to what has made the group such a success.

Baos are of course on the menu, with no surprises. There are also wontons served with chili oil. The iconic Shanghai noodles are present, as are the famous Hong Shao eggplants.

These Hong Shao eggplants are an editorial favorite. We never tire of ordering them again and again. Each bite is a reminder of why the Bao Family has won over so many Parisians.

This Petit Bao in Bercy could well become a new favorite address in the 12th arrondissement. The quality of the dishes, the friendly atmosphere and the strategic location make it a spot to remember. Lovers of Chinese cuisine now have a new rendezvous in eastern Paris.
