ParisSelectBook - Balenciaga s'offre un concert à l'Hôtel de la Marine le 22 juin et dévoile sa nouvelle stratégie culturelle

Balenciaga takes its relationship with live culture to a new level. The Kering Group company has announced an unprecedented partnership around musical events, and the Parisian scene will soon feel the effects.

Balenciaga joins forces with Prix Joséphine des Artistes

The label now supports the Prix Joséphine des Artistes, an award dedicated to celebrating excellence in musical production andcreative daring. The prize spotlights artists from the French and international contemporary scene.

Nominees for the 2026 edition include Bertrand Belin, Disiz, Yasmine Hamdan and Marguerite. The winners will be announced on September 30 at L’Olympia.

This partnership is taking concrete and visible form. The company will be helping to organize a concert at the Hôtel de la Marine on June 22, to coincide with the announcement of the finalists for the Prix Joséphine 2026.

“Here’s to celebrating excellence in musical production and creative daring.”

Face A // Face B: a concert for two voices

This set has an evocative title: Face A // Face B. It will feature part of the repertoire of two finalists from previous editions, Sophye Soliveau and Blasé.

So the concert on June 22 won’t just be a fashion event dressed up as a musical soiree. It’s a moment of transition between the selection of the finalists and the award ceremony, scheduled for the autumn.

What’s more, the company has already confirmed other concerts and a series of announcements around this partnership. The program that is taking shape therefore goes beyond the scope of a simple one-off event.

  • Partnership between the label and the Prix Joséphine des Artistes in 2026
  • Face A // Face B concert at Hôtel de la Marine on June 22
  • Two artists on the bill: Sophye Soliveau and Blasé
  • Prix Joséphine 2026 winners announced at L’Olympia on September 30
  • Other concerts already confirmed as part of this ongoing partnership

Balenciaga Music: a cultural strategy built since 2020

This new turn didn’t come out of nowhere. The Balenciaga Music program was launched at the end of 2020, under the impetus of artistic director Demna, now at the helm of Gucci collections.

The program is built around playlists, merchandising capsules and editorial content. It aims to highlight the musical universes of a wide variety of artists, without limiting itself to a single genre or sonic territory.

As a result, the diversity of the personalities associated with this project is striking. They include Aya Nakamura, Archive, RuPaul, Angelo Badalamenti and Britney Spears.

A long-term cultural dimension

The company is no longer content to dress artists or sponsor festivals on an ad hoc basis. Instead, it is building a coherent musical presence, with varied formats and regular collaborations.

The partnership with the Prix Joséphine is part of this long-term approach. It enables the brand to assert a strong cultural positioning that goes beyond fashion shows and visual campaigns.

When luxury takes the live stage

At a time when the major labels are seeking to enrich their relationship with their audiences, live music represents particularly fertile ground. It creates a direct emotional bond, difficult to reproduce by other means.

The Hôtel de la Marine stage on June 22 will embody this ambition. It is in this setting steeped in history that the brand will showcase its vision of “collaborative concerts”, a formula that combines institutional support and demanding artistic programming.

For its part, the Prix Joséphine des Artistes gains in visibility thanks to this partnership. Nominees for the 2026 edition, such as Disiz and Yasmine Hamdan, benefit from amplified exposure ahead of the September ceremony at L’Olympia.

Confirmation of more concerts to come also points to a denser program. In this way, the company is establishing a regular cultural rendezvous at the crossroads of fashion and music.
