Paris cinemas are screening all 8 Harry Potter films this late August, from €10 a showing
Imagine watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on the big screen, in a packed theatre, for the very first time or the tenth. Paris cinemas are offering exactly that experience this summer, to mark the saga’s 25th anniversary. Several venues across the capital are joining forces at the end of August to screen all eight films, at accessible prices and in a range of formats.
Marathon or one-off screening: Paris cinemas cater to every kind of fan
For those who want to watch the whole thing in one go, UGC is throwing down a true cinematic gauntlet on 29 and 30 August. The eight-film marathon kicks off on the morning of 29 August and wraps up on the evening of 30 August. Two venues are hosting the event: UGC Bercy and UGC Paris 19. A ticket covering the full marathon is priced at €40.
If you’d rather ease your way into the world of Hogwarts, the Grand Rex is screening the first instalment, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, on 30 August in the Grande Salle. Tickets start at €10, making it the most affordable option among the Paris venues taking part.
Pathé and the 4DX experience: a full week to (re)watch all eight films
At Pathé, the programme runs across an entire week, from 26 August to 1 September. Films are screened throughout this period, giving you plenty of flexibility to pick your session. What’s more, Pathé cinemas are offering the screenings in 4DX, an immersive format that makes you feel as though you’re right there alongside the characters at Hogwarts.
The format works just as well for first-time viewers as it does for long-standing fans. Watching these films in Paris cinemas in 4DX is a world away from settling in on the sofa at home.
What you can do before or after the screenings
- Catch the UGC marathon on 29 and 30 August for €40, across two Paris venues.
- Go for the single screening at the Grand Rex on 30 August, from €10.
- Take in the Pathé 4DX screenings running from 26 August to 1 September.

Beyond Paris cinemas, a whole year under the spell
The saga’s anniversary extends well beyond the late-August screenings. On 29 August, the Château de Versailles is hosting a major Harry Potter celebration. The line-up includes a quiz, meet-and-greets with the French voice actors behind several characters, and spell-casting workshops run by Paul Harris, the films’ choreographer.
Music lovers will also want to mark their calendars well in advance. From 4 to 8 November 2026, a live cinema-concert centred on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will take place at the Grand Rex. The format pairs the film with a live orchestral performance, promising a particularly memorable end to 2026 for Harry Potter fans in Paris.
Paris cinemas are at the heart of this celebration, offering a variety of formats, price points, and experiences that go far beyond a standard night at the movies. Whether you’re a newcomer to the wizarding world or a die-hard devotee, venues across the capital have something lined up for you before the new season begins.
