After a series, several films and many books which have put the Tudors back "in fashion" in recent years, it is the turn of the Musée du Luxembourg to present this colorful family from a historical and artistic angle, up to July 19, 2015. First exhibition in France devoted to the representation of a legendary dynasty which reigned on the throne of England between 1485 and 1603, “The Tudors” brings together the most emblematic portraits of the five Tudors: Henry VII (the founder of the dynasty), Henry VIII, Edward VI (the child king), Mary I (the Bloody Queen) and Elisabeth I (the Virgin Queen).
