A whole system has been put in place for the day and evening of November 19 to make the inauguration as memorable as possible.
From 11 a.m., car traffic will be completely interrupted on Avenue des Champs-Élysées. In the afternoon, the festivities will begin with a show by dancer-choreographer Sadeck Berrabah, to get spectators in the mood.
From 19 p.m., the press will take their place to immortalize the inaugural gesture and not miss anything of the festive evening that will follow.

Gilles Lellouche: an exceptional sponsor for illuminations

And this inaugural gesture will be carried out by an exceptional sponsor, whom the Champs-Élysées Committee is proud to announce. Actor, director and screenwriter Gilles Lellouche will be the godfather of the 2023 edition of the Champs-Élysées illuminations.
He will be accompanied by three children from the Petits Princes association, and by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo. All together, they will launch the illuminations of the avenue at 19:35 p.m., at the end of the countdown.
The evening will end with a DJ set and some entertainment.

The theme: “Let’s Make Paris Shine”

More than 400 trees will sparkle all along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées from Sunday, November 19. With a slogan: “Let’s light up the Avenue, let’s make Paris shine.” It's the business Blanchère Illuminations who will be responsible, as in the three previous years, for setting up the installation. An eco-responsible decision thanks in particular to the reuse of the same devices as in past years.
The illuminations will take the form of glass balloons, according to the preview released by the Champs-Élysées committee.

See you on November 19 for a memorable day!
