Mondaine

Instead of the formerRoxie, now sits Mondaine, still led by the group Paris Society. After a high-flying facelift, Mondaine is revealed in a neo-cabaret spirit : all-over carpet, leopard print, myriad of mirrors and sulphurous canopy beds are spread over the two floors, between the bar, the alcoves, the library and the smoking room. Spaces where you can roam freely, leaving the field of possibilities open to all encounters!

On the plates, we enjoy a fresh and light cuisine, to better slum all night. Green beans & button mushrooms, avocado, lemon olive oil or even Scallop Carpaccio et caviar are among the key entries. In terms of dishes, we will have the choice between sublime truffle linguine, pasta au gratin with lobster,  delicious chicken with morels or even the incredible sole meunière accompanied by new potatoes, to share. Sweet tooths won't be harmed with a tart tatin with whole cream and caramel to die for, a chocolate/vanilla ice cream tart or small puffs to share... Yum.

And the atmosphere in all this? As night falls, a team of live musicians and singers play top French variety sounds and the hits from elsewhere that we love… and that we happily hum!

Mondaine, 23 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris. 01 53 75 31 00. Open Tuesday to Saturday 20 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Yakuza

After Yakuza Porto and Lisbon, Olivier DaCosta packs his bags in Paris. It's at the hotel House Albar Vendome that the chief has taken up residence. The entrance way a speakeasy makes us smile, it looks like a hidden golden door in the hotel lobby, through which we identify ourselves. Once inside, you will discover a decor pimped with velvet, carp on the ceiling and geishas on the walls… And good news, the wonder continues on the plate! We then enjoy a Mediterranean interpretation of Japanese specialties around the fish.
On the menu: toro tuna belly and king crab, also available with fish and guacamole, truffled gunkan with a quail egg, salmon and chive temaki shake… To accompany these delicious dishes, Yakuza offers a fine selection of sakes as well as cocktails and matcha lemonades. Not to be missed: the green tea fondant and sesame ice cream.

Noto

No matter the season, the restaurant in the Pleyel room is always full of pretty people. Especially during Fashion Week! The decoration of his Art-Deco room gives pride of place to marble, shiny walnut and other luster. A divine blend  eclectic-chic. On the menu: sea bass ceviche, tuna tartare, crazy pastas, great grilled prawns… Good Italian cuisine, tasty and sunny, just the way we like it! When night falls, the atmosphere changes completely. It is not uncommon to see the socialites start dancing furiously to the sound of music… A real temple of cool.

Nestled in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, in place of the Hôtel Particulier Pauilhac, this new setting is revealed sumptuous. As you explore, strolling from lounge to lounge with sumptuous decor, the establishment reveals itself to be much more than a table, a bar and a delicatessen! It's a new Parisian obsession. On the menu, we (re)discover the great classics: caviars served with a spoon, runny boiled egg, coulibiac, vanilla chouquettes served with a strip and pavlovas drunk with fruit, chocolate or caramel...
