For its fifth participation in the “Jardins, Jardin” Show, Chanel is renewing itself and this year chooses to highlight the Iris Pallida.

Du May 30 to June 2, 2024, a new edition of Exhibition “Gardens, Garden” reappears. It will be held in the Villa Windsor park, in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris! This event is a must-visit destination for those considering gardens and plants as essential elements. Far beyond simple decorations!

This year, “Gardens, Garden” thus affirms the need to support the alliance between nature and culture through the theme “Cultivated natures”. This new edition also highlights the Chanel Iris Pallida sector. A scent that is both floral and woody that is found in many of the House's perfumes. Particularly in Chanel No. 5, N°19, as well as La Pausa and Comète.

“I like the idea that perfume, so immaterial and impalpable, comes from something concrete. Real and very artisanal. Like the earth, the flowers, the picking. », reveals Olivier Polge, the perfumer and creator of the House of Chanel. Previously, the luxury brand highlighted May rose, rose geranium, Grasse jasmine, camellia and finally orange blossom during this event.

“Chanel’s Iris”: an olfactory journey

Iris Chanel

“It is from the rhizomes that we obtain iris butter. And not flowers. The smell has something indefinable. Both floral, powdery and woody. Iris is an odor shaped by man, taking into account all the stages of work to obtain its extract. At Chanel we manufacture our own quality iris in our fields.«  says Olivier Polge.

From irises in flower to the various stages of the transformation of the rhizomes, this 300 square meter garden will transport visitors to Pegomas, in the Grasse region, on the Mul family's farm. Exclusive supplier to Chanel for almost forty years.
