For its last campaign, the Chanel House pays tribute to the most iconic lovers of French cinema. And they are two international stars, two giants of cinema, who play them. Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz are the new Chanel muses, and we couldn't dream of a better duo.
When fashion pays homage to cinema
This is the advertising campaign that we can no longer do without. And the obvious, yet rare, duo that we finally find. Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz, two cinema legends, come together around fashion. A shame for such actors? Not really, since the two friends already shared the poster for the film Cartel in 2013.
If Penélope Cruz has been a friend of the House and a muse for many years, seeing her alongside Brad Pitt for this new campaign would almost give you chills. Even more so for a House as prestigious as Chanel.
Some time before the fall-winter 2024/2025 fashion show, a film featuring the two actors had already been released by the brand. Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz played the famous couple in the film " A man and a woman " performed by Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant in 1966. Far from being a one-off short film, this film actually announced the news that has just been announced. The two Hollywood legends are now muses of the new campaign Chanel bags.
An iconic campaign and bag
The Timeless bag, a legendary Chanel accessory, plays at the heart of this mini film. Placed on the restaurant table, or placed in the car between Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz. Just like in the feature film which dates from 1966, we see the two Hollywood actors walking on the beach of Deauville, a place which has always inspired by Coco Chanel.
In black and white, the two actors play lovers to the famous music of Francis Lai. Brad Pitt and Penélope Cruz are the new faces of Chanel, this advertising campaign has already become cult!
