The best vegan restaurants in Paris

If you like, share !

Although it was born in the 40s, veganism has only gained momentum in the last decade, inviting itself to our table. Healthy and tasty, vegan cuisine is gaining ground and is attracting more and more Parisians, who are abandoning their love for meat, whether for health reasons or out of philosophical conviction... Because it is far too often ( and unfairly) assimilated to seeds and tofu, we have selected the cream of the capital's vegan restaurants. Addresses that give pride of place to 100% vegetable and equally gourmet cuisine!

Angela's Guinguette

The pitch : After studying naturopathy, Angèle Ferreux-Maeght launched her own “detox catering” service called La Guinguette d'Angèle. She offers local, seasonal and gluten-free products. Against all expectations, the enthusiasm for her green dishes is such that she sees herself opening a second address, a few years later...

Map : The food priestess brings vegan cuisine up to date, with panache. Fresh juice, coconut milk panacotta, kale crisps with spirulina, orange cake, roasted cauliflower with turmeric, cream of squash with coral lentils… Certainly the most fashionable brand and the most popular with Parisian twigs.

Angela's Guinguette, 34 rue Coquillère, 75001 Paris & 2 avenue du General Renault 75011 Paris. 09 82 41 03 63

Kitchen

The pitch : Recently inaugurated, Mesa sits at the heart of HOY, a new Parisian hotel that celebrates well-being and plants, founded by Charlotte Gomez de Orozco.

Map : Here, the cuisine takes on Latin American accents. Tacos made with lettuce leaves, avocado, hemp and smoked mushrooms, tortelloni with vegetable ricotta and candied lemon, mushroom and seaweed ceviche, venerated rice, fried cauliflower salad with crispy buckwheat and micro sprouts… From morning until n the evening, you can enjoy a menu that totally prohibits any animal food (therefore no eggs, no meat, no fish, no milk or cream). All made by Lauren Lovatt and Carolina Rodriguez, who work with seasonal products from sustainable agriculture.

Charlotte's Vegetable Garden

The pitch : Held by two brothers – David and Adrian Valentin – who dreamed of opening a restaurant for the benefit of vegetable and gourmet cuisine, this committed canteen is known by fans as being one of the best vegan restaurants in Paris. The bet is successful!

Map : Grilled eggplant, rice and corn mix, millet salad… The recipes change over time and the seasons, but the essential rice and chickpea pancakes are the duo’s signature dish. To test absolutely!

Charlotte's Vegetable Garden, 12 rue de la Tour d'Auvergne, 75009 Paris – 01 44 65 09 63 & 21 rue Rennequin, 75017 Paris, 01 44 65 09 63.

Wild and the Moon

The pitch : Since 2016, Emmanuelle Sawko's coffee-shop has unquestionably been the headquarters of healthy Parisians. A hyper successful address, proof of this, it has been exported to the Saint-Honoré Market, Opéra and Gare de Lyon!

Map : 100% vegan of course. Here, detox salads, cold-pressed juices, smoothies and gourmet cakes mingle with Super Bowls like the one made with coral lentils, chickpeas, marinated mushrooms, sweet potato and beetroot pickles. A delight.

Wild and the Moon, 55 Rue Charlot, 75003 Paris.

Maisie Cafe

The pitch : Led by Isabella Capece Galeota and Xavier Barroux, Maisie Café is a hybrid place, both a coffee-shop and a juice bar, a stone's throw from the Tuileries.

Map : Gluten-free focacia or soba noodles served with delicious cold-pressed juices (beets, cucumbers, carrots, etc.) to fill up on vitamins. In addition to its very 'raw food' menu, we also like its superb tropical setting in shades of green water, signed Mallery Roberts Morgan.

Pinson Cafe

The pitch : Enthroned in the Marais, Agathe Audouze's restaurant is undeniably one of the vegan addresses to trust.

Map : Winter vegetable gratin with vegetable parmesan, brown rice tagliatelle and baby spinach pesto, kacha and beetroot balls… New to try? The Portobello burger and its sunflower steak accompanied by leek fondue with Breton curry and sautéed potatoes. Yum.

Jah Jah by Le Tricycle

The pitch : If the Tricycle had already conquered us with its veggie hot dogs and its scooter strolling happily through the streets of the city, the fine team continues to show us how meat-free cooking can be delicious with the opening of Jah Jah by Le Tricycle. This Jamaican and vegan canteen is the first afro-vegan restaurant in Paris!

Map : Here, a wide range of vegetable milks (coconut, hemp, soy, almond, oats) is offered but also real African specialties such as Mafé: a bowl of rice in sauce that mixes avocado, bananas, grilled vegetables and tortilla. We can also accompany our dish with a good soup that puts balm in the heart.

The Vegetal Slaughterhouse

The pitch : Halfway between a coffee-shop and a juice bar, the Abattoir Végétal attracts lovers of vegan cuisine as well as local regulars. The pretty decor made of green velvet, marble tables and golden chairs also has something to do with it!

Map : varied and above all, very very tasty. On the menu: salads, bowls, toasts including the famous avocado, incredible falafel burger with sweet potato fries, blue cheese spreads from the vegetable creamery Jay & Joy, guacamole pancakes, raw vegetables and tofu scrambled with cumin... Don't forget to taste the vitamin juices, ideal for regaining strength!

Soya

The pitch : A few steps from the Canal St Martin, the SOYA organic canteen was born in October 2007 in an old workshop, before expanding two years later, by rehabilitating an old adjoining tap. This trendy place with a “casual urban chic” spirit offers a freely revisited world cuisine, vegan and mainly gluten-free (more than 90%) made from organic labeled products.

Map : Quite eclectic, it sails between India with curries to die for, Italy thanks to memorable lasagna or the Middle East with all kinds of mezes.

Soya, 20 Rue de la Pierre Levée, 75011 Paris. +01 (48)06 33 02 XNUMX XNUMX

East Side Burger

The pitch: The spot that will please ex-carnivores who dream, from time to time, of a good burger.

Map : 100% vegetable. We then find cereal pancakes, tofu and generous portions of vegetables between two soft breads. The condiments are well thought out so that vegans find their account... An excellent burger address for everyone!
