We tried Il Carpaccio, the Italian restaurant at the Royal Monceau

Carpaccio, the hotel restaurant Royal Monceau just acquired his first star ! At the head of this emblematic place of Italian gastronomy, the couple of Italian chefs Oliver Piras and Alessandra Del Favero wishes to transmit their universe in the most Parisian of Palaces. On the program: convivial Italian gourmet cuisine, through a exclusive menu created with the Da Vittorio*** family. And to make you live an exceptional moment, the two Chefs delight their guests by preparing "live-show" their Signature dishes. To whet your appetite, we'll mention the famous “Al Verde” amberjack tartare, the truffled beef carpaccio or the pumpkin risotto with raw langoustines and bottarga.

Giuse Trattoria

Named "Giusé" in honor of their recently deceased father Giuseppe, the trattoria of Mancuso brothers - Sebastian and Gregory – offers its guests the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. In the heart of rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, this unparalleled chic table first reveals a very glamorous setting : tables in marble, benches in velvet, pretty bar dotted with elegant bottles (100% Italian!) and large mirrors… Good news, the joy continues on the plate! Here, the family recipes, shared by the grandmothers of the owners, are followed to the letter and the pizzas, cooked in a wood oven like in Naples. Piero TT

When the multi-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire goes Italian, it can only be a hit. At the house of Piero TT we discover the real sweet life in Paris. As soon as you walk through the door, the tone is set: checkerboard floor, marble tables and leather seats combined with vintage plates and photos on the walls, trompe l'oeil ivy... The atmosphere is both chic and retro. On the menu, pasta of course (tortellini, cocoa e pepe, delicious spaghetti with seafood…) but not only ! The chef of the furnaces, Ivan Ferrara, also sublimates other typical dishes of the boot such as Veal Milanese, Vitello tonnato, octopus tentacle with pesto… Not to mention the desserts, on a whole new level!

Manhattan Terrazza

At 108 avenue de Villiers, the former "Grand bistrot du 17ème" has given way to Manhattan Terrazza and its Italian cuisine 100% handmade. In warm environment and an unusual setting, this new spot stands out as the most beautiful terrace in the 17th arrondissement (130 seats!) Here, simplicity is at the rendezvous with "the best Neapolitan pizza at the lowest price: the real margherita without cheating on the size or the excellence of the product". On the menu, we then discover a burrata to die for, antipasto, pasta of all kinds and pizzas with the names of birds that are no less succulent! If you are already full at this stage, skipping the dessert would be a mistake. Nutella pizzettas, blackcurrant cheesecake, incredible tiramisu served with a spoon… Everything is absolutely delicious. Most ? The house offers brunches and happy hours to prepare for the meal in the best way, Spritz by hand.

Madison Cafe

-

After The Brooklyn Pizzeria, The Little Italy and Manhattan Terrazza, comes Madison Cafe, the youngest (very successful) of the Dorr group. This time, it's in the west of Paris, in the heart of the very chic XVI district, which the merry squadra has decided to take up residence. As in the other establishments of Garry Dorr, one automatically finds there all the codes of the time new york prohibition. Brick walls, exposed pipes, vintage fans, tiled floors and other torch-tagged tables, not to mention the street-art that shines under the red neon lights. To go even further, the decorator Pierre Canot even had large swings and hanging cages installed, echoing the closed boxing rings of the famous Madison Square Garden. Take the time to stroll at the back of the restaurant and discover the 'speakeasy' turned into a huge 70-seat smoking roomAccessible by password, it overlooks a small courtyard that will delight smokers... The return to hiding in the 20s is most successful here!

In the kitchen, everything is homemade. Here are the fresh pasta which are honoured. Orecchiete, linguine, pasta shells, fusili, mafaldine, spaghetti and other macaroni are made to order by Neapolitan pastaiolos who officiate in their glass aquarium, under the astonished eyes of customers. Also on the menu, stracciatella pugliese, Murgia burrata, homemade foccacia as well as pizzas with organic dough (which rests 6 days) all so tasty. The products are sourced directly from the other side of the Alps and you can feel it on the plates. Our recommendation? Truffle pasta and the classic margherita pizza. On the dessert side, to finish on a lighter note, you will have the choice between a Tiramisu d'auteur, a crème brûlée, a nutella pizzeta or classic churros served with their chocolate sauce. Twigs and other healthy girls can fall back on the cup of fresh fruit.

We are quickly seduced, as much by the really hearty dishes as by the impeccable service and the young and dynamic atmosphere that emerges there.
Open non-stop from breakfast until XNUMX a.m., Madison Caffe is a real invitation to discover the best flavors of Italy… Definitely the new headquarters for pasta lovers.
