Pavyllon, a starred restaurant nestled in the Champs-Élysées gardens

The latest of chef Yannick Alléno's restaurants, Pavyllon opened its doors last winter, in October 2019. Only a few months later, the gastronomic counter already won its first star in the Michelin guide! We are visiting you.

we knew Alleno Paris et The Abyss… Last October, Yannick Alleno inaugurated its third Parisian restaurant: Pavilion. Located on the ground floor of Pavillon Ledoyen, the entrance to Pavyllon is totally independent from those of its 'big brothers'.

Crossing the threshold, you immediately come across the large (and very beautiful) counter surrounding the open kitchen, a central element of the decoration. A brief overview of the room: velvet and suede for the seats, cerused oak panels on the walls and geometric layout of enamelled earthenware tiles punctuated with small smoked mirrors reflecting the garden... The combination of materials is very well chosen and each detail has been carefully thought out by the talented architect Shahan Minassian.

Even if, with fine weather, it's on the bucolic terrace that it is the most pleasant to sit down at a table, the bronze patinated metallic wood counter represents the perfect spot for curious foodies. Here, they will have a front row seat to observe the execution of a fast food where mingles French influence and other culinary traditions: the lightness of vegetable tempuras, served automatically as an accompaniment to several dishes, cooking on a teppanyaki (metal plate), or even a few blends of Nordic and Italian cuisine.

For those who want more discretion, a few tables are arranged along the large bay windows, thus offering a direct view of the gardens.

Our experience: seated on the terrace, we let ourselves be guided by the team and we absolutely did not regret our choice. As starters, we were treated to several dishes starting with mussels from Morisseau, tomato seeds accompanied by ice cream… with mussels! A surprisingly tasty ice cream that turned out to be delicious. This was followed by langoustines grilled over a wood fire and ginger butter and a steamed cheese soufflé, with the airy texture you desire.

The dish then arrived, it was a candied trout, crunchy tuiles with coarse milk and dill butter, to be tasted with a little perfectly seasoned wheat. Place now for the dessert, which was the one proposed in the menu of the day (a starter-dish-dessert formula at €68): raspberry boudoir tuile in a milkshake mousse. A delight…

We like: the setting of course, impossible not to fall in love with this elegant sun terrace just right. The staff is very caring but above all, the dishes were all delicious, as beautiful and well presented as they are tasty. Flawless!

Leaving the Pavyllon, it is easy to understand how this new restaurant won its first Michelin star in just a few months. Besides, she is well on her way to winning others…
