Located at 20 rue d'Anjou, the very first Parisian store La Maison du Whiskey celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, with great fanfare.

The House of Whiskey presents itself as a space of exchange for some, a real museum or even a library for others. This meeting place, as well as the passionate experts who officiate there have become over the years a real institution.

Behind its beautiful black frontage, we discover a wooded store, chic as you wish. Stroll there and discover among the well-stocked windows and shelves, Scottish single malts from the 60s, commercial whiskeys from the 70s, cask strength bottlings from the 80s or even whiskeys of the world classified by country: France, United States, Japan, Ireland…

In total, the firm has more than 4000 references, including more than 800 exclusive products, and 650 international brands.

Solidly anchored on this base of fifty years of history, the house is constantly reinventing itself and projecting itself into the future. On the occasion of this anniversary date, the store inaugurated " the Islay Room », a vaulted room on the floor below, devoted to recent and old bottles of the mythical Scottish island. The design of the room is a modern and minimalist interpretation of the materials used on Islay with the slate floor (like the roofs of distilleries) and the walls, plastered with lime. Superb lighting highlights the 300 bottles of the most prestigious Scottish brands : Laphroaig, Bowmore, Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, Kilchoman…

real ancient nuggets enthroned in this room – limited editions from Ardbeg, a superb Laphroaig 15 year old 1998, Sherry Cask from Signatory Vintage, or a Bowmore 16 year old 1991, aged in barrels of port… – to the delight of collectors.

Hidden near the entrance, the shop has also created a new space, " The Lab », to welcome and meet all the spirits lovers. Cellar masters, distillers, independent bottlers and all the big names in the spirits industry now have an assigned space in Paris to share their passion and know-how.

So many masterclasses and other tastings are organized there, for the general public. The opportunity to discover behind the scenes of the different professions of La Maison du Whisky!

Latest novelty, a range of limited edition whiskeys. Baptized " 20 rue d'Anjou », it is made up of four single malts from several different regions of Scotland: Speyside, Highland, Islay… An original and authentic gift that will surely please the men in your life!
