« The Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped » 
by the artist Christo

In September 2020, i.e. 35 years after the packaging of the Pont-Neuf, Christo Vladimiroff Javacheff wanted to repeat the experience in Paris, this time with another emblematic monument of the capitalthe Arc de Triomphe. Only, because of the health crisis, this monumental performance had to be postponed... Despite the brutal death of the Bulgarian artist in May 2020, his work will be maintained as posthumous, thanks to his nephew and the collaboration with the Center Pompidou and the Center des Monuments Nationaux. Thus, from the September 18th, you can admire the Arc de Triomphe under 25 m000 of a recycled fabric in polypropylene with silvery and bluish shades, surrounded by 7 kilometers of red rope.
